Evazote EV30 Polyethylene Foam

Evazote EV30: In the sponge and rubber industry, Polyethylene Foams reign as a top choice for conversion. They boast robustness and durability, offering various grades, densities, and colors. Among these, Evazote (EV30) Polyethylene stands out.

Evazote Foams, sharing a visual similarity with Plastazote variants, excel due to their higher ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) content, which imparts superior strength and resilience. EVA foam, produced through copolymerization, serves as a versatile alternative to materials like PVC foam.

EV30 is manufactured in block form, allowing it to be split into sheets as thin as 1.5mm, available in 1m x 1m or 2m x 1m sizes. What sets us apart is our in-house conversion and lamination services. We not only split materials but also laminate layers, creating thick sheets and composite materials, with the ability to apply self-adhesives or foil facings.

Our onsite manufacturing facilities feature a range of equipment, including presses, log cutters, strippers, bandsaws, and an oscillating knife. This extensive toolkit enables us to produce a diverse range of Evazote products from sheets, including gaskets, washers, strips, pads, and fabrications.

What is Evazote EV30 Polyethylene Foam?

EV30 Evazote foam, like its polyethylene counterparts, forms in block or 'bun' shapes. They vary in densities and colors for diverse applications. These foams, including EV30 and Plastazote, undergo high-pressure, high-temperature, and Nitrogen expansion manufacturing processes. This results in a high-quality material with uniform cell size and water repellency.

EV30 is a closed-cell foam with a distinct 'rubbery/spongy' feel. It's available in densities ranging from 25kg/m3 to 80kg/m3. Evazote foams offer two grades with different densities: EV and VA. The distinction lies in the proportion of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, with EV having a higher VA content and VA having a lower VA content.

Why use Evazote EV30 Polyethylene Foam?

    E

V30 Polyethylene, being tough and flexible with a closed-cell structure, repels air, moisture, and liquids, while resisting chemicals. While softer than some polyethylene foams, EV30 excels in durability, making it ideal for footwear, sports, and leisure applications, including knee pads.

EV30 and Evazote foams have broad applications in the building and construction industries, primarily for seals and expansion joints. Additionally, EV30 offers vibration and impact absorption, chemical resistance, weather resilience, thermal insulation, acoustic properties, and buoyancy.

    • Non-toxic and low odour

Advantages of Using Evazote EV30 Polyethylene Foam

EV30 Evazote foam boasts numerous advantages and enjoys wide usage across diverse industries and applications. This man-made material caters to various needs, offering attributes like odorlessness, lightweightness, buoyancy, non-toxicity, and resistance to oils, solvents, acids, and alkalis. Its closed-cell structure repels liquids, ensuring easy cleaning and providing weatherproofing and UV stability.

EV30 Evazote foams are the preferred choice for crafting sealing strips that demand excellent recovery from repetitive impact and compression.

With a broad operational temperature range, EV30 maintains its properties from a frigid -70°C to a scorching 100°C. Its versatility extends to manufacturing processes, including block conversion, such as splitting, pressing, die cutting, routering, log cutting, and molding into specific profiles.

The combination of cost-effectiveness, ease of machining, conversion flexibility, and the ability to mold parts makes EV30 foams suitable for a myriad of applications and industries. These include shock and impact-absorbing industrial gaskets, boat fenders, gym mats, padding in sports equipment, sports footwear like snow and water ski boots, bicycle saddles, boxing gloves, and helmets. Particularly, it finds popularity in crafting slippers and sandals due to its odor resistance and softness, which allows it to conform perfectly to the foot, offering support and cushioning.
