What Are Fluorosilicone Silicone Rubber Gaskets?
Most standard grade silicone rubber materials are excellent for using to manufacture high performance seals or flurosilicone gaskets and can be used in many applications and can offer resistance to most exposures, except however when it comes into contact with fuel where standard silicones will deteriorate.
Fluorosilicone rubber is a blue-coloured, long-lasting elastomer which remains stable even in extreme temperatures, but also offers enhanced chemical resistance to include fuels, oils, acids, alkalies and solvents. Flurosilicone gaskets can be produced in the form of a strip or pad, but are generally an intricately cut shaped piece of material placed between two surfaces to create a low-pressure seal preventing the leakage of liquids or gas and to seal against the intrusion of dust and debris.
