    What is Low-Density Polyethylene Foam?

Low-density polyethylene is a high-quality polyethylene foam composed of microscopic sealed cells that interlock to prevent the passage of water or air, making it an ideal foam for a wide variety of applications.

This closed cell foam is a thermoplastic created using a high-pressure process via free radical polymerization. As a result, low-density polyethylene foam is neither completely solid nor completely flexible, thus forming a semi-rigid material.

Why use Low-Density Polyethylene Foam Sheets?

We supply low-density polyethylene foam sheets to our customers for use as required. Low-density polyethylene foam sheets are commonly utilized to create products that close gaps and irregularities between surfaces. In addition, they can also be used to prevent unwanted noise and vibration, as well as to create seals against air, gas, dust, and liquids.

There are many advantages to using low-density polyethylene foam sheets including their non-toxic, water resistant and non-corrosive properties. These desirable properties allow this material to be applied in various industries to manufacture products including containers, dispensing bottles, tubing, plastic parts, computer components, and plastic bags.
