Silicone Rubber Sheet
Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets, we offer high-quality silicone sheets in both sponge and rubber forms. Our silicone rubber is manufactured in continuous rolls, in a range of standard thicknesses, which we hold in stock ready to be cut down into a number of products including sheets, in standard 2meter x 1meter or 1meter x 1meter sizes. Our onsite laminating service allows us to laminate silicone rubber with a choice of foils and self -adhesive tapes, as well as with layers of other materials.
What is a Silicone Rubber Sheet?
Silicone (SI) rubber is an excellent material for producing high-performance mechanicals seals and gaskets which can operate at high and low temperatures. Silicone rubber performs well when exposed to UV, weathering, ozone and moisture, and is available in range grades, hardnesses and colours. Silicone rubber is often taken in sheet form giving customers the flexibility to convert them into a range of usable products as required. Silicone rubber sheets are available in a range of types each with its own set of characteristics, properties and resistances to suit different exposures and environments.
Why use Silicone Rubber Sheets?
Customers often choose silicone rubber as it has a number of excellent characteristics and features. Silicone rubber has a broad working temperature range for use in hot and cold environments, with high-temperature versions also available for extreme heat. Silicone rubber sheets are resistant to ozone, many chemicals and fungal growth, they also offer excellent tensile strength, tear resistance, electrical insulating properties and are available in food safe and flame retardant grades too.
Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd have a network of material manufacturers and suppliers, giving our customers more choice, our most popular grades being:
- High-Temperature Silicone
- FDA Approved Silicone
- Metal Detectable Silicone
- Platinum cured Silicone
- Conductive Silicone
Benefits of Silicone Rubber Sheet
Using silicone rubber sheets can be converted into a whole range of usable products, each with a number of benefits which will vary depending on the grade of silicone used, but include flame retardancy, wide operating temperature range – even higher range when using the High-Temperature grade, resistance to weathering, UV, ozone and chemicals, can be used as electrical insulation and in Food, Beverage and pharmaceutical industries (FDA grades). Silicone rubber is produced in a range of hardnesses, thicknesses and in some grades a range of colours.
