Anti-Vibration Cork Sheets

Anti-Vibration Cork Sheets – Durable Noise & Vibration Reduction

Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd (ASG) offers a wide range of cork sheets, including anti-vibration cork sheets, suitable for industrial, automotive, and construction applications. Our cork sheets are manufactured in various grades, sizes, and thicknesses, providing flexibility, durability, and excellent vibration dampening.

What Are Anti-Vibration Cork Sheets?

Anti-vibration cork sheets are specially designed to reduce noise, vibration, and movement caused by machinery or equipment. All cork has inherent anti-vibration properties, but when bonded with synthetic rubbers like EPDM, neoprene, nitrile, or SBR, the material gains increased flexibility, chemical resistance, and higher temperature tolerance.

Our cork sheets are produced in rolls of varying thicknesses, which can be cut down into 1m x 1m or 2m x 1m sheets. On-site conversion allows us to supply shorter lengths, laminated sheets, or sheets with self-adhesive and foil finishes, depending on your needs.

    Why Use Anti-Vibration Cork Sheets?

Anti-vibration cork sheets provide the flexibility to cut custom parts such as strips, washers, or gaskets as required. The material is chemically inert, flame-retardant, anti-static, flexible, and durable, making it suitable for a variety of demanding applications.

These cork sheets are especially effective in reducing vibrations and noise from heavy machinery, protecting foundations, equipment, and workers’ hearing. They also stabilise machinery, reducing wear and tear while improving safety.

Cork sheets can be easily cut with standard tools and adhere well to most surfaces, including floors, walls, and ceilings.

Advantages of Using Anti-Vibration Cork Sheets

ASG supplies anti-vibration cork sheets in a range of sizes, thicknesses, and grades, with many rolls held in stock for quick turnaround and fast dispatch.

    Key advantages include:

    • Sound and vibration dampening

    • Thermal insulation

    • Oil, fuel, chemical, and acid resistance (depending on grade)

    • Support and stability – reduces excessive movement.

    • Durable with abrasion and friction resistance

    • Flexible and easy to cut – adheres well to most surfaces.

    Different Grades of Cork Sheets

We provide a variety of cork grades to suit different industries and applications:

    • Resin-Bonded Cork: Lightweight, flexible, and resilient to specific acids; commonly used in water-retaining applications.

    • Nitrile-Bonded Cork: Speckled cork combined with nitrile rubber; resistant to oil, fuel, and high temperatures, ideal for automotive and engineering gaskets.

    • Natural Cork: Made from agglomerated cork grains; cost-effective for coasters, air/dust/water seals, thermal insulation, and anti-vibration applications.

    • Synthetic Cork (SBR): Combines synthetic rubber and natural cork for high compressibility, flexibility, and improved oil/fuel resistance; suitable for construction, industrial, and automotive gaskets.

    • Neoprene-Bonded Cork: Cork blended with neoprene rubber for high-temperature sealing, weathering, and oil resistance; perfect for engineering, electrical, anti-vibration, and soundproofing applications.
