GA25 Polyethylene Foam Pads
At Advanced Seals & Gaskets (ASG), we specialise in providing high-performance foam and sealing solutions. Among our top-tier offerings is GA25 Polyethylene Foam Pads — a chemically cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) product engineered for durability and precision.
GA25 foam pads offer excellent shock absorption, insulation, and sealing performance. They are ideal for use in applications requiring consistent mechanical resilience, low moisture absorption, and stability under stress.
We stock GA25 in a variety of thicknesses, widths, and pad formats. We also support custom cutting, lamination, and bespoke pad designs to match your precise requirements.
What Are GA25 Polyethylene Foam Pads?
GA25 is a closed-cell, chemically cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) foam. The cross-linking process creates a stable cellular structure that balances flexibility and rigidity while maintaining excellent stability over time. This structure gives GA25 pads their strong mechanical performance, resilience, and minimal creep.
Unlike open-cell or expanded foams, GA25’s closed-cell nature ensures extremely low moisture uptake, excellent dimensional stability, and sound thermal insulation. Because of the cross-linking, it resists deformation under compression and retains its properties through many compression cycles.

Key Characteristics of GA25 Foam Pads
- Material: Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE)
- Density / Hardness: (specify your GA25 standard density/hardness)
- Operating Temperature Range: (specify, e.g. –40 °C to +80 °C)
- Moisture & Water Uptake: Very low (nearly zero absorption)
- Thermal Conductivity: Excellent insulation properties
- Chemical & UV Resistance: Good resistance to ageing, ozone, UV, and many chemicals
- Standard Sizes: Available in various thicknesses, widths, and pad formats
- Custom Fabrication: We offer cutting, lamination, adhesive bonding, and finishing
Why Use GA25 Polyethylene Foam Pads
GA25 pads are especially suited for demanding environments where durability, insulation, shock absorption, and long-term stability matter. Key reasons to choose GA25 include:
- Uniform, predictable compression and recovery
- Very low moisture ingress — ideal in humid or wet settings
- Excellent resistance to ageing, UV, ozone, and many chemicals
- Durable against fatigue, repeated loading, and deformation
- Effective thermal insulation in compact form
- Good acoustic damping in specific applications
- Easy to process: cut, laminate, bond, or machine
Because GA25 is stable and resilient, it’s often used as pads, supports, spacers, vibration isolators, and thermal barriers in sectors such as construction, electronics, HVAC, and transport.
Benefits of GA25 Over Other Foam Materials
GA25 offers a set of advantages that make it stand out:
- Higher durability and fatigue resistance versus many foams
- Minimal water absorption compared to less-dense foams
- Stronger resistance to environmental ageing (UV, ozone)
- Superior resilience and ability to maintain shape after many cycles
- Better thermal insulation efficiency in thin sections
- Versatility in fabrication and bonding
When procuring from us, you gain access to extensive stock, fast turnaround, and in-house capabilities for cutting, bonding, laminating, and finishing. This flexibility allows production of bespoke foam pads, strips, washers, gaskets, or composite structures for your project.
Available Grades and Variants
With our extensive supplier relationships, ASG can offer a broad range of polyethylene foam grades beyond GA25, often with short lead times:
- GA25 (Standard cross-linked PE foam)
- Higher-density or firmer XLPE grades
- Low-density, soft PE foam grades
- Laminated or composite variants (e.g. bonded with adhesive, foil, or other materials)
- Speciality foams for acoustic, thermal, or chemical resistance
If you’re uncertain which grade suits your application, contact our technical team. We’ll help you select the right product for load bearing, insulation, durability, or environmental constraints.
