Cut and pressed Polyester Washers form just a small part of the thousands of products produced from polyester plastic.
Polyester washers, made from PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) resins, combine excellent mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties with strong chemical resistance and dimensional stability. These washers also offer low moisture absorption and good flow properties. The materials used in our conversions can be produced in standard grades or specialist variants, such as glass-reinforced or flame-retardant polyester, ideal for applications requiring higher strength or heat resistance.
Polyester plastics can be supplied in sheets measuring up to 3050 x 2050mm and with thicknesses ranging from 0.8mm to 6mm, which can then be cut into washers. For bespoke requirements, washers can also be moulded with specific finishes or textured surfaces. Using our in-house presses and oscillating knife machinery, we can convert polyester sheets into custom-sized washers, available plain or coated with self-adhesives or foils.

What are Polyester Washers?
A Polyester Plastic Washer is a flat, ring-shaped component placed between two surfaces or joints to reduce friction, prevent unsteadiness, and create a level surface for nuts, bolts, or other fixings. They can also provide water- or air-tight seals.
Polyester washers are produced using customer-provided samples, drawings, or dimensions that detail the Outer Diameter (OD), Inner Diameter (ID), and Thickness. Washers can be supplied in plain or self-adhesive finishes.
These washers provide high dimensional stability, excellent mechanical strength, and good resistance to creep. Made from PET, a thermoplastic material produced by reacting terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol, polyester washers can be repeatedly melted and reformed, making them easily recyclable. They offer chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and sound electrical insulation, making them suitable for applications requiring precision, durability, and surface quality.
