Reinforced Silicone Rubber has the properties of a standard grade silicone, however by reinforcing it with a fibreglass layer gives it excellent tear resistance, low compression and makes it easy to fabricate. All of the above can be manufactured in either plain or self-adhesive backed, peel-able liner on one or both sides. Reinforced Silicone Rubber is a preferred choice for non-stretch gaskets and will not deform permanently under mechanical stress (non-creep). It has many excellent properties which make it suitable for use as press pads, thermal heater insulation pads, gaskets and applications within the food industry.
