Properties of Silicone
Silicone rubber is a hard but flexible material that can be supplied in a range of hardness’s from 40º shore through to 60º shore, whereas silicone sponge is a relatively soft, closed cell flexible product which is presented with a skin finish on one or both sides and can be supplied in a vast range of densities from 200kg to 500kg.
The table below is a quick guide to show the various colours, roll sizes and thicknesses that these two materials can be manufactured in.
Silicone Rubber Roll Size – 1.2 mtrs x 10 mtrs
Available in thicknesses 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm
Colours available: Red Oxide, White, Black, Translucent. Others colours may be available subject to minimum order quantities. Please ask for further information.
Silicone Sponge Roll Size – 1 mtr x 10 mtrs
Available in thicknesses 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 19mm, 25mm
Colours available: White, Black as standard. Other colours may be available subject to minimum order quantities. Please ask for further information.
This material has many attributes including:
- UV resistant
- Ozone resistant
- +200c working temperature
- Available in flame retardant grade
- Available in food quality grade

Self-adhesive backed Silicone
If you prefer, we can add a self-adhesive backing with a peel-able liner to one or both sides of the finished product to assist with assembly of your product.
