At Advanced Seals & Gaskets, we produce strips in a variety of materials one of which is Class O acoustic foam. We are proud to be able to produce any size and any quantity of Class O acoustic foam strip using a range of machinery including presses, kiss cut machines, oscillating knife (CNC), bandsaws, and for longer lengths (also referred to as foam tape), we can use one of many log cutters. Manufacturing these strips in-house allows us to provide the best quality strips to our customer's exact specifications such as thickness, width, length, and finish - whether this is plain or self-adhesive, it also allows us to oversee the entire process to ensure that our standards are kept high and lead times are at a minimum.
Class O acoustic foam strips are used in many industries where a flame retardant material with sound/vibration absorption, or thermal insulation properties is required, such as building, construction, marine, and automotive industries
Strips are usually used as an isolation layer or gap filler between 2 surfaces, which is why it is sometimes referred to as ‘gasket tape’. We manufacture strips using an extensive range of materials such as EPDM, neoprene, silicone, solid rubbers, sponge, plastics, polyethylene, PVC, Polyester, cork, textiles, and many more, using specialist machinery including presses, kiss cut machines, oscillating knife (CNC), bandsaws and for longer strips supplied as rolls, we can use one of many log cutters.
Our lamination service also allows us to supply strips in greater lengths and thicknesses, with a choice of self-adhesives or foil faces or even laminated to other materials.

What is acoustic foam?
Class O acoustic foam is just one of many Polyurethane foams, it is an open cell structured, lightweight foam used for sound control, noise and vibration treatment, and as thermal insulation material. The purpose of acoustic foam is to reduce sound and echo not totally eliminate sound, when used as sound absorption strips in ceilings, walls, and flooring, the material works by attenuating the sound waves, lowering their amplitude to reduce and control the noise whilst the captured energy from the sound waves is dissipated as heat. Class O acoustic foam is flame retardant and meets UL-94 V-0 and BS476 part 6 & 7, it is Non-toxic, HCF & CFC Free doesn’t support fungal growth, is dust-free making it ideal for marine, building and construction, automotive, heating & Ventilation and manufacturing. Class O acoustic foam is a soft material that is easy to cut and easily manipulated to fit complex shapes and positions for ease of application.
