High quality silicone washers (such as fluorosilicone silicone rubber washers) are manufactured and supplied by Advanced Seals & Gaskets in various sponge or solid material types, with Fluorosilicone rubber being offered as one of the more specialist grades.
Fluorosilicone rubber is manufactured and stocked in continuous rolls at 915mm wide and in thicknesses ranging between 0.5mm and 3.2mm, which can be used to cut or press out washers. Using high quality materials and state of the art machinery, our in-house conversion service produces a range of silicone rubber washers that are all made to order and produced using samples or drawings, ensuring the final product perfectly fits the application.
Depending on the size and quantity of the washers required, our production team will select from our range of atoms, autos, travelling head, kiss cut pressing machines or for very large or thick washers, we can programm our CNC (oscillating knife) to produce the washers in the most efficient way to keep costs and lead times down.

What Are Fluorosilicone Silicone Rubber Washers?
Standard grade silicone rubber materials can be used in many applications where a high performance mechanical seal is required and can offer resistance to most exposures, with the exception however when it comes into contact with fuel where standard silicones will deteriorate.
Fluorosilicone silicone rubber washers are a blue coloured, long-lasting elastomer which remains stable even in extreme temperatures, but also offers enhanced chemical resistance to include fuels, oils, acids, alkalies and solvents.
Washers are a flat ring (comprising of an Outer Diameter (OD), Internal Diameter (ID) and the thickness) cut from a sheet or roll of material in this case fluorosilicone, which is placed between two surfaces creating a level surface, acting as a spacer or between a nut or bolt to spread the pressure when tightened. They are also used in a number of vibration dampening, sealing and insulating applications.
