GA25 Chemically Cross Linked Polyethylene Rolls

Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd stock, supply and convert a range of polyethylene rolls of material, including those manufactured from GA25 chemically cross linked polyethylene.

We have a huge storage facility enabling us to stock polyethylene rolls (including GA25 chemically cross linked polyethylene rolls) in a range of sizes which vary in length depending on the material thickness. GA25 is manufactured in a range of standard thicknesses, extruded to feature a skin finish on both faces, however our onsite conversion facilities allow us to split material down into non-standard thicknesses, laminate layers of the material together to create more depth, which is sometimes necessary for fabrications and even join lengths of material together to created longer rolls.

All of our chemically cross linked polyethylene rolls can be supplied with a choice of finishes including plain or coated on one of both faces with a range of self-adhesives, foils and even laminated with layers of other materials.

What Are Chemically Cross Linked Polyethylene Foam Rolls?

GA25 Chemically crosslinked polyethylene foam or XLPE is just one of many types of polyethylene foams ASG can offer in roll form. This grade is manufactured using raw low density polyethylene, which is heated up causing it to foam before it is extruded creating a ‘honeycomb’ type cell structure.

Chemically cross linked PE foam can be manufactured as continuous rolls, which can be split down, laminated to achieve greater thicknesses, laminated to other materials to create composite materials and supplied in a plain or self adhesive backed finish. Our on-site conversion facilities also allows us to cut down GA25 chemically cross linked polyethylene rolls or even join them to create longer bespoke lengths.

Why Use Chemically Cross Linked Polyethylene Foam Rolls?

Chemically cross linked polyethylene foam or GA25 is a very tough, lightweight and long lasting material. As the material is manufactured by way of extrusion, it has a rougher outside surface or ‘skin’ which adds to its strength and makes it more resistant to damage caused by water, air or sunlight.

XLPE foams can be used as insulation as they offer low thermal transmission and also as shock absorption foam, ideal for packaging, for use with electronics, an anti-static compound can also be added. GA25 chemically cross linked polyethylene rolls are popular as they give the customer and end-user the flexibility to be able to cut their own strips, pads, gaskets or washers as and when they’re required or when larger surface areas need to be covered.

The Advantages of Using Chemically Cross Linked Polyethylene Foam Rolls

Rolls of XLPE (GA25 Chemically cross linked polyethylene) offer a number of desirable properties, it's a very tough, lightweight and long lasting material.

The material is manufactured using extrusion methods which creates a rougher outside ‘skin’ which adds to its strength and makes it resistant to damage caused by water, air or sunlight. GA25 Chemically cross linked PE foams can be used as insulation as they offer low thermal transmission and also as shock absorption foam, ideal for packaging, for use with electronics, an anti-static agent can also be added to the compound prior to the raw material being cured.

Rolls of GA25 polyethylene are manufactured in a range of sizes and thicknesses, which means they can be ready for immediate despatch, they are also easy to split and convert so if bespoke thicknesses or cut products are required, these can be turned around within a minimal lead time. Cutting components from GA25 chemically cross linked polyethylene rolls also allows for a better yield to be achieved, which in return reduces waste and cost, especially when a large quantity of parts are required. Chemically cross linked polyethylene rolls are easy to cut and convert into a range of other products including pads, strips, coils, gaskets, washers and even fabrications, for us in a range of industries such as construction, HVAC and packaging to name a few.
