Viton® – Viton sponge is generally black in colour and is provided with a skin finish on both sides. It is manufactured in sheets at pre-determined thicknesses; however, Advanced Seals and Gaskets Ltd have the ability to split the material by removing one of the skins and thereby reducing the thickness to that which is more suitable for the customer’s requirements. We are also able to laminate Viton with a self-adhesive coating on either one or both faces.
Viton sponge has a closed cell formulation and with the skin finish on both sides, this makes the material extremely strong and tear resistant. The soft and flexible nature of this product along with the closed cell structure makes this material particularly efficient when sealing against liquid and gases.
This Viton is non-absorbent, highly compressible, resistant, lightweight material and provides good thermal and chemical resistance with a service temperature of -25c to +200c.
