Low-Density Polyethylene Foam Strip

Low-Density Polyethylene Foam Strip

Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd, we stock a wide variety of polyethylene foams and utilize them to produce a range of products, such as our low-density polyethylene foam strips. Through our close relationships with a variety of suppliers, we supply a range of materials that can be customized to meet our customers' specific requirements. Whether we manufacture as a one-off or in large quantities, we work closely with our customers throughout the manufacturing process to provide a completely bespoke service. Utilizing state-of-the-art machinery such as band saws, strippers, log cutters or even presses, we produce low-density polyethylene foam strips in a manner that ensures high quality while minimizing lead times.

Our low-density polyethylene foam strips are available starting at 3mm thick and 5mm wide. They are available in a variety of grades, densities, and colours, and either plain or with a self-adhesive backing. Since it has several resistances, low-density polyethylene foam is an excellent material used in a wide range of applications.

    What is Low-Density Polyethylene Foam?

Low-density polyethylene is a high-quality polyethylene foam composed of microscopic sealed cells that interlock to prevent the passage of water or air, making it an ideal foam for a wide variety of applications.

This closed cell foam is a thermoplastic created using a high-pressure process via free radical polymerization. As a result, low-density polyethylene foam is neither completely solid nor completely flexible, thus forming a semi-rigid material.

Why use Low-Density Polyethylene Foam Strips?

Low-density polyethylene foam strips are pieces of material cut to a specific length and supplied to our customers for use as required. Common uses for our strips include closing gaps or irregularities between surfaces, preventing unwanted noise and vibrations, and creating seals against air, gas, dust and liquids.

There are many advantages to using low-density polyethylene foam strips such as their non-toxic, water resistant and non-corrosive properties. These desirable properties allow this material to be used in various industries to create products including containers, dispensing bottles, tubing, plastic parts, computer components, and plastic bags.

Different Grades of Low-Density Polyethylene Foam
