Reinforced Silicone Rubber can be manufactured and supplied as continuous rolls available in thicknesses from 1mm through to 6mm, in roll lengths of up to 10 meters. These rolls of material are generally available in red, grey or black colour choices, which each colour representing a different grade.
Rolls of reinforced silicone rubber are held in stock ready for despatch in full or further conversion within our state of the art conversion facilities where using one of many slitters, log cutters, presses, bandsaws or the oscillating knife, we can also convert this raw material into a number of products including sheets or finished products such as washers, pads, strips or gaskets.

What are Reinforced Silicone Rubber Rolls?
Rolls are continuous lengths of material, in this case Reinforced Solid Silicone Rubber can be manufactured in lengths of up to 10 meters long.
Standard Silicone (SI) rubber is an excellent material choice for converting into high performance mechanical seals and gaskets which can operate at high and low temperatures. Silicone rubber even performs well when used outdoors and exposed to UV, weathering, ozone and moisture.
This Reinforced Silicone Rubber is formulated using the same compound as standard silicone so offers all of the above excellent properties, but has a glass fabric running through the center which acts as reinforcement to produce a more superior and durable, tear resistant material.
Why use Reinforced Silicone Rubber Rolls?
Reinforced Silicone Rubber Rolls are recognisable by its red colouration, however black and grey variants can also be manufactured in different grades in a choice of thicknesses from 1mm through to 6mm.
These rolls of material offer a broad working temperature range of around -62ºC - 260ºC, the same chemical resistance to standard silicone rubber, is odourless, tasteless and non-toxic, but also offering far more superior durability and tear resistance compared to standard silicone, this is thanks for the glass fabric reinforcing layer which creates excellent tear resistance and non-creep characteristics, making the material suitable for use in applications that require non-stretch seals and gaskets. Rolls of Reinforced Silicone rubber are great for cutting longer strips and larger gaskets which can’t have joins, they also achieve a better yield of smaller cut parts where high volume quantities are needed and so reducing both cost and waste.
