    What is Natural Sponge Rubber?

Open cell sponge rubber is supplied as standard in rolls, but it can be cut and shaped into a variety of products to meet a wide range of specifications, including those that require repetitive loading.

Unlike its closed-cell counterparts, natural sponge rubber facilitates the circulation of gases and fluids in applications requiring it, while its multi-patterned skin ensures excellent compression and recovery properties. Due to the open cell structure of this material, natural sponge rubber is suited for use in applications where resistance to fluids is only required when a surface coating is applied.

    Why use Natural Sponge Rubber?

Natural sponge rubber offers superior anti-vibration and acoustic absorption, allowing it to be used in applications such as protective packaging and sound-reducing floor strips. It possesses the characteristics of a heavy-duty, robust material, despite its softness and compression recovery. It is resistant to weathering and may be used to seal uneven surfaces.

Natural sponge rubber is stocked in a range of lengths and thicknesses, ready for dispatch. Alternatively, following customers' specifications we can cut and shape natural sponge rubber to meet individual requirements.

Different Grades of Natural Sponge Rubber
