Polyurethane Foam

Polyurethane Foam

ASG offers a wide range of polyurethane products in both solid and foam material types, in various densities, thicknesses and colours. Our polyurethane foam materials, depending on grade, are manufactured in roll, sheet or jumbo block forms, all of which can be converted in-house using our state of the art splitting machines and bandsaws.  Polyurethane foam can be converted and supplied in full polyurethane foam rolls and polyurethane foam sheets, or in finished cut parts such as strips, pads, washers or gaskets in thicknesses starting at as little as just 1.5mm and in any roll length to suit your needs and requirements. Our onsite conversion service not only allows us to produce polyurethane foam parts in a range of shapes, lengths and thicknesses upon request but also enables us to supply them with a range of self-adhesives, foils and even laminated to other materials.

What is Polyurethane Foam?

Polyurethane foams are just one of the members of the polymer family, they are low-density foam, which is often used in a number of vibration dampening, sealing and insulating applications. Polyurethane (PU) foam is converted in-house using blocks or jumbo rolls of foam, which can be joined and then fed through our splitting machines to create rolls or sheets at a desired thickness and length, from which smaller parts such as gaskets, pads and strips. Polyurethane is often taken by customers in roll or sheet form as it allows them the flexibility to cut down usable pads in any size as and when they are required and are also ideal for when larger pieces of materials are required to cover greater surface areas.

Why use Polyurethane Foam?

Polyurethane foam materials are available in a range of colours, thicknesses and densities, most of which are suitable for acoustic, thermal applications, home furnishings such as cushion inserts and flooring underlay. Polyurethane foams offer good sealing properties against air and dust and are resistant to UV and ozone. Polyurethane foam can also be produced using specialist grades which include conductive, static dissipative and flame-retardant.

Available Grades

Advanced Seals & Gaskets work with a number of material manufacturers, giving our customers more choice when looking for polyurethane foam rolls, our most popular types being:

  • Acoustic
  • egg box
  • HLB
  • Basotech
  • Polyester
  • Recon
  • Retic
  • Polyether

Benefits of Using Polyurethane Foam

Polyurethane foams are available in a wide variety of types and grades, allowing us to supply products for use within various applications and industries.  Polyurethane foam performs well across a wide temperature range, has resistance to compression and chemicals, offers good vibration and impact absorption and can be manufactured with extra additives to create specialist grades which include conductive, static dissipative and flame-retardant. Some of the popular uses for polyurethane foam include heating & ventilation, automotive, dust sealing and building & construction applications.
